2013 TCUL Chapter Leaders Conference

For the third year in a row, ACCU board members joined other chapter officers from across Texas in Dallas on January 17 & 18 to network, share best practices and discuss new ways of connecting with local credit unions. The ACCU was once again well-represented with eight board members in attendance. 

Highlights of the conference included a motivational speaker who “awoke the passion” in attendees by providing tips on how to get peak performance out of ourselves and others; updates on how Texas credit unions continue to provide fundraising support to the Children’s Miracle Network of hospitals; breakout sessions where they shared best practices and brain-stormed on how to build the “model” chapter; legal issues affecting chapters; financial literacy training outreach opportunities; the connection between credit unions and socio-economics; and most importantly, the league consolidation of Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Chapter officers were also treated to a team-building activity and dinner at the Main Event in Plano.
